Candy Cane

It's that time of year again! Being a college student, I don't have any decorations at my house right now so it doesn't feel like Christmas is coming anytime soon :( I figure when I go home my parents will have the house decorated, but I feel like the season is cut short for me since I won't get home until mid December. Despite that, I painted candy cane patterns on my nails. It's simple, yet festive enough to get me in the spirit!
I used Caliente Coral by Maybellene Express Finish and a white color by Kiss Nail Art.

Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

Jade Flowers

Once again, I was low on time and was dying to paint so here are more Konad stamped nails:
It's hard to tell, but I double stamped the nail.

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

I Want Candy!

Last year at this time I had a lot of free time as compared to now. This nail design is a great example of how much time I had. So last Halloween this was the nail design I came up with! Probably one of my most detailed designs. I want to do more at this level but that'll have to be when I don't have as much studying to do.

Clearly the second photo was my right hand (painted with my left) ha ha ha.

Hope you enjoyed your Halloween and got to eat tons of candy! :) nom nom nom

Peacock

I fail. This is a few days late, since Halloween was on Monday. Generally, I do generic Halloween themed nails for the holiday but this year I decided to make my nails go with my costume. Judging from the title of this post, you can probably guess what I was. I love the colors and pattern of peacock feathers and I almost did these nails at another time. I wish I had more time to add more to these.
It looks better in person :( I need to work on taking better photos...

Hope you had a great Halloween!

Quick French Nails

This probably the simplest design I've done in a long time. I had a formal event to go to last Saturday and very little time so I came up with this design (and heck yea it matched my dress). Plus I just got the sparkly grey recently and I HAD TO try it out.

It doesn't look as nice here cause the sparkles don't show up well in the photo.

The light sparkly base is "City Lights" by Cover Girl and the dark tips are "Lucerne-Tainly Look Marvelous" by OPI. The white stripe is a white nail striper by Kiss Nail Art.

I Am Obsessed...

...with Konad stamps! Plus I am a college student which unfortunately means that I don't have much time. I feel like I'm cheating with Konad stamps. It takes so little time compared to what I usually do that I am a little disappointed in myself. I decided that my next design will not be Konad involved!
But anyways, here is what I did today. I love the full nail pattern. The flowers and swirly things are so delicate and sweet. The design reminds me of lace.
The color is "Fifth Avenue" by China Glaze (probably my favorite brand right now!). It's a great Fall color. I can't believe it's already October! Can we rewind back to Summer? I'm so not ready for the cold.

I GOT KONAD STAMPS!

If you don't know what Konad stamps are, they are nail polish stamps. They're super quick and easy compared to what I usually do, but I always make things more intricate when I paint. So here is my first of many designs to come using Konad stamps!

The base is an off-white-pinky color with a sparkle fade going up the nail.
I'm still getting used to using the stamps. I had a hard time getting this design centered and straight! ha ha

Well, this just successfully distracted me from an hour or two of studying.

Aloha!!!!

Hawaii in my mind is a very different place than what the average person thinks of. I grew up visiting Hawaii often because I have family there. So when I think of Hawaii, there are a lot of great memories from my entire life. It has a very special place in my heart (cheesing it up here, sorry!).
The past couple times I went there, I painted my nails with a Hawaiian theme. This is the first time I made a design across several nails and I loved how the island chain turned out! It's probably one of my favorite designs now.

I had a great time and I'm looking forward to the next time I visit!

Marble Nails

I found out how to marble nails just last fall and I am obsessed! It's simpler than it looks, I promise! I learned by watching YouTube videos. (I highly recommend searching it) And I've introduced my friends to water marbling nails :) A few of my friends were curious how I did it and once they learned they loved it. It's such a good feeling to spread the love of painting nails! haha

Here is my most recent water marble:

Happy 4th!

This was posted a little later than I intended, but here's my nails for the holiday! I had to do something patriotic for Independence day, so I painted stars and stripes (with a hint of glitter!). Yay, America! :)

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!

and just a tip,
don't text and paint your nails. I just noticed I have blue nail polish all over my phone. lol

Nautical Nails

I love the trend of the nautical theme, probably because I love the beach. Nautical nails have been on my list of things to do for soooo long! I love stripes and anchors! They're so fun and summery! :)
So here is what I came up with:

May Flowers

Floral is one of my favorite nail designs to do, especially in the Spring. They're so classic and fit any occasion. I try to limit the number of times I do floral nails or else I'd do them all the time!
I did these some time ago but I'd like to try painting them again, but better.

Sanrio!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sanrio! I've been meaning to do these for a while and I'm mostly happy with how they turned out. I wish I could draw more than just their heads, but this is the best that I could do. If only my nails were bigger. Can you name all the characters? haha

Simple Orange Designs

I did these nails a couple months ago. I was trying out these new stencils that I got but they didn't work out so well and they ripped very easily :( But most of them turned out alright here! And a couple nails I did free hand.

Fresh Off the Press

Newspaper nails! They're actually super easy to do. I used a light nude color for the base then dipped my nails in rubbing alcohol. Then press the newspaper onto your nails and hold for 30 seconds. (It reminded me of temporary tattoos haha) Then add a top coat and you're done! I added a few little checkerboard spots just because I wanted them to be a little different.

Simple Fade with Spots

I used to photograph my nails for myself to brainstorm what design to do next, but now I can post what I've done. So I'll be doing some "flashback" nail designs until I run out. Here's one that I did recently:

First post

Yay! First post! So I finally got around to making a blog about nails! I've been meaning to for so long.
I will try and update every time I paint my nails (something other than just a plain color, which rarely happens for me). Usually I paint my nails every week or two so check back then!

Here's what's on my nails right now: rainbow strawberries! I couldn't decide if I like the red or the pink berries better, so I thought why not make them rainbow?

Please subscribe! :) there's much more to come. thanks!
